Review: So You Think You Can Dance

Yeah finally SYTYCD reached its finale episode, well actually the result had been out, it was the big bump who's winning, Joshua Allen. *sigh just when I really wish for Katie to win...

TOP 20
Right now, I will be reviewing the top20 performance. Honestly, I can't even remember clearly who the unlucky dancers eliminated before top 10 performances. First week was splendid though. The moment Katie+Joshua caught my eyes on their hip-hop routine, I knew I'm gonna love both of them and they proved me 100% correct by being the best male and female dancers in the show. Other than that, my memory was faint about who's doing what...in summary, unmemorable. Week after week, I can see how some dancers were getting strong. Chelsea with her latin dancing, Comfort who was always nearly on pinch but yet managed to get through sacrificing her partner huahahaha...Gev and Courtney who managed to keep up hardly to the top 10, Katie+Joshua who always brought a splendid and entertaining routines to the dance floor, Mark whose development graphic was downward sloping and so did Kerington. Hm...

TOP 10
Coming to the top 10, some surprising moments were shown. Mark, who performed awfully the day before, managed to stay safe and caused Gev to be out even though Gev's solo was super amazing. Will's hilarious solo moment amazed the judges and rewarded him standing ovation. Comfort who was voted out the week before managed to perform for another 2 weeks, thanks to the Jessica's leg injury. On that week too, where Comfort was invited back the show, Judges finnally were presented with the best hip-hop routine ever by Comfort wohooow, but too bad for Comfort, she still couldn't outperform the other 3 chicks, Chelsea Courtney Katie =D (CCK)

TOP 3
Top 3 was another wonderful performances by the 3 pairs. By that time, Chelsea showed off how she could maximize the usage of her legs in dancing, Courtney proved that she's a great jazz dancer and the one who had grown the most, Joshua produced an incredible strength by doing plenty of difficult and nasty tricks, Katie with flawless performances throughout the start of top 20 performances. Elimination of Chelsea in top 3 had dissappointed me as Chelsea was surely the better dancer. Mark was...just off hahaha

Finale
Final episode showed clearly that Katie was better at dancing as compared to Chelsea, and how Joshua was certainly lovable as compared to Twitch...that's what I think hahahha...Overall, The result was still quite satisfying for me, as both Katie and Joshua had been my favorite pair from the start =D. Flawless performance of Katie, Incredible strength by Joshua that's the theme of this finale =D

My Award Session
Judges, yeah....Mia Michels rocked my world, contemporary was always best choreographed by Mia Michel, she's simply insane with her choreography. Hip-hop routine was redefined by Napoleon-Tabitha, it became less street, more meaningful, and more enjoyable for sure. Alex da Silva looked a bit hilarious by how he taught the choreography in a more interesting way with his weird analogies but overall enjoyable.
Coming to My award session:
Best Pair: Katie Joshua
Best Choreographer: Mia Michel yeahhh
Best Routine(pair): too much...sorry...Hero(Courtney+Joshua), Tango+Disco(Chelsea-Joshua),Jazz(Courtney) arghh...can't decide now =D
Best Routine(result show): Mia Michel's Ave Maria hehehe
Best Solo: Gev's hip hop
Best Week: Top 3's week simply blew me away

That's it for my "personal opinion" on So You Think You Can Dance season 4, I realized I might miss a lot of stuffs, but if it's not memorable enough, how can you blame it on me =D

Will: First Post

Hi guyz.. This is my first blogging experience, which is motivated by GMAT essay practice. Lolz.. Actually, I am not really used to this blog thingy coz I don't really like writing but hopefully things will change later.. =P

Today is my 4th day in my new office and surprisingly I have gotten quite used to this routine. Wake up early in the morning, doing trainings, go back home, chat with my *crazy* flatmates and sleep early. So many things were going through my mind right now, but mostly it is about comparing working life with school life which make me miss my uni life so much. And suddenly this question pop up in my mind, "Why do we always keep wanting more?" (*copying how Carrie writes her column in Sex and the City* hahaha...).

I remember when I was in primary school, I really wanted to wear the blue pants and when I got to wear it, I began dreaming to wear the gray one. Afterwards, I kept thinking how nice it would be to be able to wear casual clothing to school. However, after experiencing uni life, high school memories were keep flashing back, which proves how much I miss it despite of its old-fashioned uniform. The same thing happens now. Last year, when I was busy with job-hunting, I was dreaming how nice and how cool it would be if I am able to work in an investment bank. But, after getting the job and experiencing the hectic life of a support team member, I really miss school life. And knowing I could not turn back the time, I keep looking for more dreams, dreaming to be one of the manager who stay in cozy condos or the directors who drive cool cars. Desperation comes when I realized that I will not be one of them anytime soon.

Maybe we have never really realized it, but sometimes human are really not easy to be satisfied. We always want something more. It is good to have big dreams and chase them with all your might. But sometimes, it is good to slow it down and enjoying the moment. When I went for lunch earlier, I stopped at the junction, took a look at the clear blue sky while drinking Ice Tea. At that moment, I realized that this is not a bad place to be afterall. I think I will like my job even though I know it would be tough and I have nice friends which are sharing our small yet lively apartment.

Right now I am feeling motivated again. I will try my best to finish all the training materials, so I can go back early and have a nice chat with my *dear* flatmates. Lolz.. Until then, ciao~~

XOXO

Intro Post

First of all, This is a collective blog
The blog was initiated on August 5th 2008 by idea of three geeks.

Geek 1:"Goooo...create a blog. This is to prepare me for my GMAT. HUAHUAHUAHAUAHA", geek 1 laughed using his trademark of roaring laugh =D
Geek 2:"Let's name it AWET" said another geek with his calm voice while browsing through a list of daily website which he deemed important to keep up-to-date of the current affairs...see such a geek huahauhauh...
Geek 3:"e-WAT, that's sounded more commercial, or WAT-E in order to commemorate the movie Wall-E =D." Yeah even though geek 3 spoke out the idea, without any approval by the rests, he decided on e-WAT. "The hell, they won't really care anyway", geek 3 thought.

e-WAT itself stands for electronic-Wanderlust and Atrocious Throng...err such big words for geeks huh?? Just happened to flip the dictionary beside me huahahuhah....Actually e-WAT reflects the initial name of the four of us, founding fathers =D, consisting of 3 geeks and 1 weirdo, or should I say 3 Apple-addicts and 1 Windows' slave.

By establishing this blog, we, the founding fathers, will bring out these visions and missions:
Visions: To foster relationship within us
To spill out our opinions so that people know us inside out wohoow...
Missions: To promote ourselves
To be kaypoh-ed heheheh

Now, let the ball start rolling =D...Oh yeah, gotta advertise the blog to the rest. And, as you can see these 3 geeks just randomly include the weirdo without his consent into the blog =D.

Note: You know I'm just kidding my dear ****-mates huahuaha
